My heart lies with watercolor but I love the tradition of oils. I will not choose between them.
The featured painting is "Golden." This a good example of what I call realistic impressionism. What I mean is, if viewed 25 feet or more away the painting has a realistic look to it. However, as one approaches, it is clear that brush strokes define the image.
